Our foam plays a critical role in blood oxygenator defoamers to help keep air bubbles out of blood during oxygenation. Historically, bubbles have formed in the blood oxygenator during the transfer process, causing potentially hazardous situations for patients.
Reilly Foam uses a more hydrophilic, open-celled polyurethane foam that is better suited for breaking up oxygen bubbles in the blood before it is returned to the patient.
