An Activated Charcoal Impregnated SIF ® Foam

General Description
This SIF/filter foam can be impregnated with high loadings (typically 2 oz./sq. yd.) of finely divided activated carbon particles. The presence of the carbon allows Sorbacell not only to remove particulate material from an air stream, but also to absorb some gaseous contaminants.
Activated carbon will partially reactivate itself by equilibrating to the outside concentration of gases. When the product is exposed to low concentrations of odorants, the carbon will reactivate itself by losing some of its absorbed odorants to the air. This loss of odors is so slow that it is imperceptible.
